Rams starting running back Steven Jackson was held out of practice again on Thursday for the second day in a row. Jackson, who has been nursing a groin injury since Sunday, is heading towards a questionable designation for Friday’s injury report.
Jackson had left Sunday’s game early due to a minor injury and did not return to the field. However, following the game both Jackson and head coach Jeff Fisher said that Jackson could have returned to action. Now it looks as if Jackson will end up being a game-time decision come Sunday’s game. Jackson is the type of player who could miss practice all week and then return to the field on Sunday and put in a solid performance. However, things do not seem to be looking good for him to be on the field.
If Jackson is unable to play this week, rookie Daryl Richardson, will be given the nod to start. More information will be available as the week goes on in regards to Jackson’s status for this weekend.
