Rams Cut Backup Quarterback

The St. Louis Rams decided to cut backup quarterback Kellen Clemens on the final cut day.  The move now makes room for undrafted free agent Austin Davis to backup Sam Bradford.  Clemens had been the favorite to win the position as backup quarterback due to his familiarity with the new offense being installed by Brian Schottentheimer.  Both Clemens and Schottentheimer have a relationship from their days back with the Jets.  However, Clemens still got the axe at the end of the day and Davis will now have a chance to show his worth if Bradford is to face any injury issues during the season.  As for Clemens, it will be interesting to see if  any team takes a chance on adding him to their roster.
